Located in the eastern part of the marz is Khosrov reserve which was created for hunting and entertainment of Armenian aristocracy. In 1958 Khosrov Wood was received the official status of a reserve well-known for its unique flora and fauna.
The wood was planted according to specified layout. Now the zone of the national park is protected by the state.
