In the eastern part of the Ararat is located Khosrov reserve which was created for hunting and entertainment of Armenian aristocracy. In 1958 Khosrov Wood was received the official status of a reserve well-known for its unique flora and fauna.
The wood was planted according to specified layout. Now the zone of the national park is protected by the state.
