Why Azerbaijan?
- Azerbaijan possesses very rich resources for development of Tourism Industry.
- Azerbaijan is situated in the same latitude as Italy, Greece and Spain. The number of sunny days per year is 284.
- There are 9 out of 11 climatic zones in Azerbaijan: from subtropics till Alpine meadows. There are 12 natural and historical forest reserves, 17 forestry, above 250 lakes and 1200 big and small rivers.
- Tourism Industry is one of the priority branches of the economy and is included in the State Program of Development of Azerbaijan.
- Azerbaijan's entry into WTO in September 2001 encouraged the development of international relations in Tourism Industry.

AITF is a full member of WTO.
