Dynamic economic development in Azerbaijan creates the fruitful conditions to develop real estate market as well. “Financial Times” named Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, - “City of future in Eastern Europe of 2006/2007 years” as the result of the annual growth of population incomes stimulated by stable development of the small and medium entrepreneurship in the country, there is an increase of real demand on the property both in Azerbaijan and abroad.
Strong demand in residential property is one of the results of construction boom taking place in Azerbaijan for last few years. The fact is that more than 6.5 million square meters of housing have been built in 2004-2007. Despite this boom the prices of the primary and secondary property unites has been increased essentially in 2007: cost of 1 sq. m. of residence varies from $300 to $7000 (excluding interior works), the prices of commercial property grew by 27.9%.
Turkey, Russia, France, Great Britain, Ukraine, Spain, U.A.E., Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kazakhstan remain their status of the most attractive countries to buy the property there. At the same time the number of international real estate units offered in Azerbaijan still doesn’t reach the growth rate of demand in property abroad having place on the market. It creates the fruitful background for all developers and real estate agencies that are ready to establish their business in this region.
