Mount Iberia is sometimes compared with a guardian angel of New Athos. Its height is 345 m . It is located on the right bank of the Psyrtskhi. Long time ago life in New Athos started from this amazing mountain. Today all its places of interest start from it. Hidden inside its bowels is the well-known New Athos Cave . On its top are the ruins of ancient Anakopia fortress and the Anakopia temple.
The tremendous view of New Athos, the monastery, the Black Sea and Cape Sukhumi opens fom its top.
