Forbes Life lists Georgian wine in the 9 best wines and spiritsThe January issue of American Forbes Life Magazine published an article about the best drinks that are recommended to discover in 2015. Gin, sherry and vermouth were accompanied by Georgian wines. Forbes Life is a lifestyle supplement of the leading U.S magazine Forbes that writes on travels, art and cuisine.

Georgia may not be familiar to wine drinkers in Europe and America, but the history of winemaking is more than 8000 years old there. That is why Georgia takes a special attention, says the article. Wine cellars of "Iago" in the village Chardahi and "Pheasant’s Tears" in Sighnaghi have been distinguished among Georgian wines. Authors of the article also recommend to explore wines of the Alaverdi Monastery.

2012 and 2013 vintages are the best of Georgian wines. “Orange”, known as amber, wines can sometimes be harsh with tannins and dry, but these wines have great balance of taste and juiciness”, said the wine expert Alice Feiring.
