Georgia to hold New Wine Festival

Wine Festival to be held in Georgia the 5th timeGeorgia will hold the 5th New Wine Festival, reports portal Bizzone.Info. The festival will be held with the support of National Wine Agency, Tbilisi City Hall an National Administration of Tourism of Georgia. During these 3 days of the festival (8-10 May), guests will enjoy wine tasting, live performances of folklore and jazz bands, interesting contests and wine tours. New Wine Festival will focus on rare kinds of Georgian vines this year.

The festival will be held in the park “Deda Ena” (native language), its official opening will be held on May 8. The festival will be visited by professionals of wine field and special guests. On the following days, wine companies, vinthers-naturalists and family wine cellars will present their products. On 9 May the program of New Wine Festival includes opening of kvevri, a big ceramic jug that is used for making and storing wine. The last day of the festival will be celebrated in the wineries of Kartli and Kakheti
