The 13th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival

13th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival, TbilisiThe 13th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival (EYOF) came to end on Saturday with closing ceremony held in Olympic village. Georgia hosted the games from July 26 till August 1. Athletes from 50 countries participated in the festival, competing in athletics, basketball, cycling, gymnastics, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, and volleyball.

Russian Federation is on the first place of all-team ranking with 17 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze medals (total 37 medals). Team of Italy is the second in general ranking with 12 gold, 2 silver, and 10 bronze medals. France, Hungary, and Slovenia are the third, the forth, and the fifth countries in general ranking. Host country earned 4 gold and 6 bronze medals, taking the tenth rank.

EYOF is held once in two years with all participants of 13-17 years old. The next games will take place in 2017 in the city of Győr, Hungary.
