Tbilisoba which was held for the first time in 1979 is an annual celebration of the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, will be organized this year on weekend of October 17 and 18. Traditionally Tbilisi this year will also be hosting numerous concerts, exhibitions and festivals (like ‘Fruit festival’ and ‘Tea festival’, etc.), the Hawkers show and diverse events for children.
Tbilisoba, being one of the most prominent and famous holidays in Georgia, is favored not only by citizens of Tbilisi and the country, but also is frequently visited by international guests and tourists, who specially plan their trip on those dates.
This year Tbilisi city council decided to make the event even more public by announcing a competition among population of Tbilisi for the best celebration program for Tbilisoba. As a result they received 21 different schedules and projects, best of which will be determined on the first days of September.
