Restored paintings of Pirosmani are back to the house-museum

Niko Pirosmani paintings restoration finishedTwo paintings, “Shota Rustaveli at the table” and “Woman with Easter eggs”, of the world-known Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani went under restoration works and soon will be back to its house-museum, - reports the National agency for cultural heritage preservation of Georgia. Restoration was carried out according to the project of conservation.

The restored paintings will soon take their places back in the museum of Niko Pirosmani in Mirzaani (Eastern Georgia), where anyone can enjoy them.

It is also noted in the message that recently other restored works of the master, “Hunting in India”, “Queen Tamar”, “Lying Georgian girl” and “Wine harvest”, were presented to the public.

Niko Pirosmani (1862-1918) is a prominent Georgian artist of the 20th century. Apart from the house-museum, most of the paintings of the artist are kept in the State Art Museum of Georgia in Tbilisi.
