Georgia will host International Folk FestivalFor the first time, Georgia will hold Black Sea International Folk Festival with about 400 participants from Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and Georgia itself, reports the Sputnik Georgia Information Agency. The festival will be held from September 1 to 3 in the cities of Ozurgeti and Shekvetili.

There are in total 24 ensembles of folklore music. The folklore of Italy will be represented by a vocal band “Su Cuncordu’e Sette Dolores” from the island of Sardinia, quartet “Nagelfluh” will present Switzerland, and Turkey will be represented by a Trabzon dance and song ensemble from Karadeniz Technical University. The host country Georgia will be introduced by well-known dancing and vocal ensembles such as “Sukhishviili”, “Rustavi”, “Basiani”, “Didgori”, and bands such as “Bermukha”, “Pesvebi”, “Mareti”, “Vakhtanguri”, “Rikho”, “Lagusheda” and etc.

The first two days of the festival with free entrance will be held in Ozurgeti in the Chess garden. The Gala Concert concludes the festival at the Black Sea Arena, a new concert hall in Shekvetili, on September 3 at 20.00.
