In the Old Ochamchira area (city suburb) there is the ancient settlement of Guenos. The centre of this antique trading station was on a small artificial mound of 50 m width and 70 m height. There you will see the ruins of a Roman bath and other structures as well as medieval fortifications of cobble-stone.
In the same area there has been the summer residence of Abkhazian rulers built in Oriental style.
