Right at the coastal line near many-storeyed holiday hotels stands the iron tower surrounded by metal frame. It is Pitsunda lighthouse. For decades it helped the ships to navigate in the sea at night; after it lost its necessity the lighthouse became one of the resort symbols, a local place of interest. The new beacon is installed on the roof of the 15-story "Beacon" hotel.
