The main city street is the place where basic business and commerce activities of modern Sukhum are concentrated. There stands an attractive building of the city administration ( 1914) with the tower clock. Not far from it there is the oldest building of Sukhum - the former Highland school ( 1863) . Now it hosts ¹10 high school.
