Tour Summary:
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer to hotel, welcome dinner at a Georgian restaurant with traditional songs and dances. Drive back to the hotel, end of the day
Day 2: Tour of Tbilisi / Mtskheta
Excursion in the old part of the city. Visit the National Museum.
Drive to Mtskheta. Lunch at a restaurant in Mtskheta
Mtskheta is the ancient capital of the country, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the symbol of Christianity in Georgia.
Visit Jvari: Jvari church (temple of the “Holy Cross "), built in the VI. Stands on a high hill, overlooking the confluence of two majestic rivers - Aragvi and Mtkvari; Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, XI century.
Return to Tbilisi. Visit Wine&Brandy Factory- tasting 120 years old Cognac (the opportunity to buy one).
Dinner at a national restaurant.
Transfer to the hotel, end of the day
Day 3: Kakheti – Homeland of Wine
Kakheti is located in eastern Georgia and is known as the cradle of Georgian Wine.
Here are cultivated some unique grape varieties, such as Kindzmarauli, Manavi, Saperavi.
Excursion to the Cave town of David Gareji;
Lunch & Georgian Corner: During lunch guests will have the opportunity to take part in baking Georgian bread "Lavash", in preparation of national sweets "Churchkhela" and taste homemade wine.
Excursion in Gurjaani- Unique church with double domes / only in Europe / Visit the Church Grammy (UNESCO);
Return to Tbilisi; Farewell dinner at a national restaurant, accompanied with Georgian Folklore
transfer to the hotel, the end of the day
Day 4: Departure
If time permits, visit the local bazaar/Dry Bridge to by some souvenirs
Transfer to the airport
