BankTech 2009
BankTech is the only exhibition dedicated to the latest IT and hardware trends in the financial industry of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. It will take place for the second time in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
BankTech provides an overview of the market, as well as an opportunity to network. The exhibition is a great place to meet IT decision makers and users, administrative and procurement managers from financial institutions, insurance companies and other financial service providers.
Appeal of economy of Kazakhstan increases every year. The Kazakhstan model of development of economy has set of inconsistent factors, but prompt rates of growth speak for themselves.
Now on economic parameters and rates of development Kazakhstan is the leader among leading "three" (Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine) the CIS countries. Leadership and its further maintenance in a greater degree is caused by foreign capital investments.
Kazakhstan has received for years of independence more than $45 billion foreign investments. It is more than 80 % of all foreign investments in region of the Central Asia. The world bank has included republic in number 20 of the countries of the world involving the greatest volumes of investments. In particular, Kazakhstan takes the fifth place on volume of investments per capita among the countries of the East Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On the materials of the review of Fitch Ratings " Bank system and prudential regulation in Kazakhstan: risks of growth ": For the last some years the bank sector of Kazakhstan has shown very high rates of growth of actives and credits, following for exclusively high rates of a gain of nominal gross national product, and also due to low initial base, and the aggressive strategy of growth chosen by the basic players of the market. Moreover, according to forecasts of banks which have been collected and generalized by Fitch, during 2006-2009 years it is expected more than triple growth of actives and credits, and also almost fivefold increase in volumes of crediting of physical persons.
As a result the attitude of credits to gross national product, under forecasts, will reach about 72 % by the end 2009 in comparison with 40 % in the end 2005.
Quality of bank regulation in Kazakhstan is high for a developing market. Parameters of profitability of banks in Kazakhstan are at a high level. Fitch believes that at absence of significant growth of unprofitable credits profitability of the sector remains at a good level.
Also analysts of agency now emphasize the steady liquidity and the adequate capitalization of sector. The structure of business of banks in Kazakhstan is considered as qualitative, with a low level of speculative operations, operations with the connected parties and not profile directions of activity.
However high current and expected rates of growth, especially in the segments, described higher risks, in particular, crediting of building sector, and also small and average business, or in segments where banks do not have a lot experience, for example, operations in a retail segment and in the Russian market, cause high credit risks.
This function on crediting short-term projects, obviously, will be carried out by institutes of development and the international financial institutions.
