Astana Airport to have a new image by Expo-2017

As reported by tengrinews, the reconstruction of the Astana Airport is in a full swing. Currently the building of the old airport is completely destroyed, and a new foundation pit has been dug for the new terminal, and the construction of the new platform is on the go.

The main goal of the reconstruction of the airport is to increase the capacity of the international terminal from 3 to 7 mln people, as well as to prepare the airport for the international exhibition Expo-2017 that will take place in Astana.

There will be approximately 60 billion KZT (tenge) to be spent in total for the reconstruction of the airport.
