The Republic of Kazakhstan has extended and expanded ongoing pilot project of visa free regime for citizens of economically developed countries until 31 December 2017, reports information agency Kazinform.
The new expanded list includes 19 countries: Australia, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia, OAE, Singapore, Great Britain, USA, Germany, Finland, France, Switzerland and Japan.
As of 16 July 2015 until 31 December 2017 citizens of these countries holding valid diplomatic, business and national passports may have multiple entries, departures and transits on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan without a visa up to 15 calendar days from the moment of crossing the state border.
The aim of the project is to increase flow of tourists visiting big international events planned for the next two years such as EXPO-2017 in Astana, and winter Universiada-2017 in Almaty.
