Take a tour to the Big Almaty Lake located at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level. The inhabitants call it Zhasylkol which means "Green Lake" in Kazakh language. You will spend a few hours enjoying the pristine natural beauty of the glaciers, the harsh peaks and pine forests.
Your guide and driver will meet you at hotel lobby in Almaty to start the tour. Tour starts from Al Farabi Avenue with a visit to Moslem mosque and University Nur-Mubarak founded by the presidents of Kazakhstan and Egypt. Afterwards visit Presidential park. Depart Almaty and drive to the natural park.Upon arrival in park take an excursion to the falcons, hawks and hunting dogs farm*. Continue driving to the Big Almaty gorge and Big Almaty river. Visit drinking water supply construction, built by the imprisoned Japanese soldiers after the World War Two. Stop for a picnic lunch. After lunch, take an excursion and have some rest on the Big Almaty lake. Finish your trip walking up to the gorge admiring glaciers and snow peaks. Drive back to Almaty. On the way back to the town you will visit the Falcon Farm, where you will enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained hawks - hunting with them is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh way of life. Transfer to the hotel. End of the tour.
