Activities: horse back riding, walk in the mountains, experience the culture and traditions of Kyrgyz people.

Tour summary:
Day 1 (29.07.2011): Airport – Bishkek
Arrival to Bishkek, transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing tour: Oak Park , Ala -Too Square, Philarmonic hall, Statue of Manas, Victory Square . Overnight in a guest house.

Day 2 (30.07.2011): Bishkek – Karakol
After breakfast start driving to Karakol (410 km, 6-7 hours). En route visit Burana tower, which marks the original site of the Karakhanid town, Balasagun. Continue driving to Karakol. Arrival in Karakol in the evening. Overnight in a guest house.

Day 3 (31.07.2011): Karakol – Kashka Suu gorge – Karakol
National Horse Games Festival
In the morning transfer to the foothills of Kashka Suu gorge for the National Horse Games Festival. Today you will see the traditional horse games Ulak Tartysh, Kyz Kuumai, Tyin Enmei, Er Enish. You will also have the chance to watch Folklore show and try Kyrgyz cuisine. Transfer back to Karakol in evening. Overnight in Karakol.

Day 4 (01.08.2011): Karakol – Jety Oguz
After breakfast short city tour in Karakol: visit the wooden Russian-orthodox church and Dungan Mosque. Transfer to Jety Oguz (60 km, 40 minutes). Jety-Oguz gorge is a lush valley with some striking red sandstone rock formations (the “seven Bulls” from which the valley takes its name). Lunch in yurts. Free time for hiking. Dinner and overnight in yurts.

Day 5 (02.08.2011): Jety Oguz – Juuka – Skazka – Bokonbaevo
In the morning start driving to Bokonbaevo village. En route visit Juuka gorge where you can take a radon bath. Next stop in Skazka valley there sandstone cliffs have been shaped by centuries of wind and melting snow into an ensemble of columns, canyons and crag, ranging in color from deep red to bright orange. Arrival in Bokonbaevo. Free time. Overnight in a home stay.

Day 6 (03.08.2011): Bokonbaevo - Kochkor
Transfer to Kochkor. Lunch. Then you will have the chance to watch the process of making felt carpets (Ala Kiyiz). Dinner and overnight in a home stay.

Day 7 (04.08.2011): Kochkor – Son Kul
In the morning transfer to Son Kul lake (120 km, 3 hours). This is a remote mountain lake situated on a treeless, high mountain plateau ( 3016 m ) where shepherds bring the livestock in the summertime, establish a camp where they will live – setting up their yurts. Today you can ride a horse or go hiking. Dinner and overnight in yurts.

Day 8 (05.08.2011): Son Kul – Cholpon Ata - Tamchy
Breakfast. Transfer to Cholpon Ata. In Cholpon-Ata visit open-air art gallery of stone, said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD, they depict wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and some hunting scenes. Lunch. Transfer back to Tamchy village. Overnight in a home stay.

Day 9 (06.08.2011): Tamchy – Chon Kemin
Taigan and Burkut Festival
Breakfast. Taigan and Burkut Festival. Today you will see the Eagle Hunting show, demonastration of Taigan dogs (Kyrgyz Borzoi), Kyrgyz national games on donkeys played by children. There will also master class on silk and wolf scarf making. Transfer to Chon Kemin in the evening. Dinner and overnight in a home stay.

Day 9 (07.08.2011): Tamchy – Chon Kemin
Kyrgyz National Cuisine Festival
In the morning attend Kyrgyz National Cuisine festival. There will be demonstration of cooking and testing of traditional courses from the oldest times. Then there will be explanation of recipes and stage of dish cooking. At the end of the festival you will have the chance to listen to traditional Kyrgyz music. Transfer to Bishkek in the afternoon (180 km, 3 hours). Ovenright in a guest house.

Day 10 (08.08.2011): Bishkek – Airport
Transfer to the airport (30 km). End of the services.
