Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky (1839 -1881)
The author of monumental classical works: opera «Boris Godunov», «Khovanshchina» and others, piano and vocal cycles. Melodic language of Mussorgsky is organically close to Russian folk songs, brightly conveying the intonations of living speech.
