Karavshin is an area in the center of Pamir-Alay, on the border of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Believe it or not but no man has ever set his foot there. There reigns the wild life. Only Karavshin rocks have become
a Mecca for climbers from all over the world. These fantastic rocky bastions remind of the well-known American canyons.
The Karavshan Mountains are formed from strong granite and cut by vertical cracks. Not all of the tops have been conquered. Plenty of tops and routes distinguished by their he beauty and complexity beckon and wait for the pioneers.
Climbers usually set the base camp on a picturesque plateau near the river Karavshin head. This is a remarkable place for ascents and walks on gorges for tourists accompanied by qualified guides. Trekking is organized in the most beautiful places opening the impressive panorama of Karavshin area.
