Itinerary of Tajikistan Tour
Day 1: Arrival to Tashkent , transfer to the hotel. Free time.
Day 2: In the morning transfer to Jartepo to the Uzbek/Tajik border. Cross the border where you will meet with the Tajik guide and drive towards to the mountains on the valley Zeravshan by Russian truck – GAZ 66. There are apple, apricot orchard and tobacco plantation in the valley. The road goes through the mountains gorges and in the end of the day you will reach the lake where will be your first tent camp. Dinner and overnight in a tent.
Day 3: Free day. During a day you will have an acclimatization walking. Picnic. In the evening you will meet with our donkey's caravan who will carry our luggage during the tour. Dinner and overnight in a tent.
Day 4: In the morning you will ascend a river Dukdon which is the confluent of the Karakul River . The road takes around 10 km and you will gain 700 m height. Overnight in a tent near a small spring .
Day 5: This day you will hike over the Dukdon pass (3810 m). The ascent takes around 3-3,5 hours. The path goes near a glacier and climbs up to the pass. You will see magnificent view of snow covered picks of Gissrskiy range and the great circus of sources of the Archamaidan river. Lunch . The descent to the gorge Saruhodan . Overnight in a tent.
Day 6: Free day. Overnight in a tent.
Day 7: Hike towards to the Munora pass. You will visit on of the beautiful lakes in this region. Lunch near the lake. After the rest you will hike towards to the Archamaidan river. Overnight in a tent.
Day 8: Hike over the Munora pass. You may see on of the highest picks of Fan Mountains , the pick Moscow and Sugar Head there. The descent towards to the Sarumat river. Overnight in a tent.
Day 9: This day you will hike over last range where you will visit the “Pearly necklace” of Fan Mountains – Marguzorskie lakes. There are 7 lakes in the valley and the biggest is the Marguzorskoe lake. Overnight in a tent near the lake.
Day 10: Drive around 8 hours to Tashkent through Pendjikent.. The road goes down on the Marguzorskoe gorge and along all 7 lakes. Overnight in the Hotel
Day 11: Free time. Transfer to the airport, departure.
