Construction of the Turkmen section of transnational railway Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan, will be completed by June 2015 – reports RIA Novosti. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a government session.
A ceremony dedicated to the construction of the Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Tajikistan railway was held on June 5, 2013 at the railway station Atamurat, eastern part of Turkmenistan. The ceremony was attended by the presidents of the three states participating in the project - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Hamid Karzai and Emomali Rahmon.
