Hotel Reviews

“good breakfast.” Kenyon Weaver (USA)
Reviewed March 30, 2012

The hotel was the cleanest of the hotels we stayed in, warm, with a good breakfast. It has a clean pool and a sauna and a nice outdoor space.
This hotel is near nothing. We could not have eaten dinner nearby, and so we had our driver to take us to a restaurant. The staff is not overly friendly. Also, for as incredibly cultural and historic as Samarkand is, the Samarkand Plaza hotel is decorated in faux European style. It's very strange to be in a hotel that tries to be European in a place like Samarkand.
Conclusion: I would continue to recommend this hotel to tourists but only on the condition that they be provided with good restuarants and transportation to those restaurants for dinner.
