Kazakhstan’s Air Astana starts regular flights on the Astana-Tashkent-Astana route from the middle of 2012, according to Uzbektourism National Company.
Air Astana is planning to carry two flights a week with help of Embraer E-190 aircrafts, produced by the Brazilian aircraft company.
Currently, 12 flights are carried out between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan each week. Ten regular frights from Almaty to Tashkent are carried by Uzbekistan Airways (5 flights), Air Astana (4 flights) and Skat (one flight).
Regular flights from Tashkent to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, are carried only by Uzbekistan Airways. It conducts two flights each week.
