Within the framework of implementation of state programs on tourism industry development and passenger transportations maintenance, Uzbekistan Railways state company launches new train route Bukhara-Urgench-Bukhara.
According to Uzbekistan Railways, the trains are scheduled to run once a week during tourist seasons of 2012 starting from 14 March to May and from 15 August to October. The passenger train will departure from Bukhara on Wednesdays and will arrive to Urgench the next day - on Thursdays. The train will go back from Urgench to Bukhara on Fridays. The timetable of departure and arrival now is under consideration.
