Cultural heritage map was made up in Uzbekistan

Poi Kalyan complex, BukharaAccording to Ravshan Mansurov, the Head of Administration for Protection and Usage of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs, it includes 10111 cultural heritage objects: monuments, mausoleums, mosques, old-time buildings and so on. Work is carried out with another 832 facilities to be included in this list.

These data were provided by R. Mansurov at the Meeting of the Ministry’s Social Council held in November.

Compilation of a catalogue and atlas of all these objects is coming next. A group of Uzbek scientists has been working at systematization of the monuments of non-material culture which are also in great number and consolidating the information on the archeological objects not yet included in the Map.
