February 15, the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent opened an exhibition of traditional clothing of the regions of Uzbekistan, which is held in the frameworks of the "Renaissance" project of Fund Forum. The exposition presents folkloric wedding costumes, which are typical for different regions of Uzbekistan of the second half of the nineteenth century.
Nearly all elements of Uzbek ceremonial costume, including pattern, ornamental exposure and color of the fabric have primary meaning, which is interesting to recognize while acquaintance with a dress.
In addition to traditional clothing, the exhibition also presents some sketches of costumes, as well as national dolls, hats and jewelry of that epoch.
Exhibition runs until March 1.
