As per the State Museum of Art of the Republic Karakalpakstan named after Savitsky, the Italian Company AQ International and television Company RAI (Italy), assisted by Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan initiated shooting of two popular science documentaries about Uzbekistan.
The first film “Uzbekistan: a Crossroad of Civilizations” will deal with the role played by such cities as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrizabs and Termez during the Great Silk Road-times, and also will show the wealth of cultural legacy and splendor of Uzbekistan’s historical monuments to the audience.
The second film “Open Your Eyes” will be devoted to one of the saddest ecological catastrophes – tragedy of the Aral Sea. Its purpose is to demonstrate a negative impact of the Aral tragedy on the environment and to call the audience to environmental friendliness.
