Samarkand – Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi highway section reconstructedBukhara region, Uzbekistan, has completed reconstruction of 10-km section of М-37 Samarkand – Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi highway, - reports 12news.uzс citing Uzavtoyul Company. The $20,000,000- worth facility was put into operation by Romitan road-repair enterprise. The new 24-m wide, four-lane road features high strength and can withstand considerable loads, - the report says.

In general, the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2014 plans to upgrade 45 km of Samarkand – Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi highway section, crossing Karakul district. Reconstruction of А-380 in the territory Karaulbazar district is also planned, the works, provided in the second phase of construction of a transport junction at the 16.5-km bypass road of Bukhara city, continue. The completion of these works will enable to reduce heavy vehicle traffic flow through the regional center, thus improving the road safety.
