Starting from September 2014, Euronews has begun broadcasting commercial video ad of tourism in Uzbekistan.
Besides, the international channel is planning to launch new rubric City-tour which will present Tashkent city, capital of Uzbekistan. A series of video reels “Uzbek Life” will be broadcasted at Life rubric and it will present main tourist destinations of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
It is also planned that Euronews will cover the 99th session of the UNWTO in Samarkand within Focus rubric that coincides with the 20th anniversary of Samarkand declaration on ‘Rebirth of Great Silk Road’.
The TV commercial is a result of negotiations between ‘Uzbektourism’ National Company and Euronews that took place in May 2014 and is the continuation of work on promoting information about the rich historical and cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the world market, firstly, in the European states, reports Uzdaily.com. One of the leading European channels, Euronews has 24-hour broadcasting news, cultural and scientific programs in 155 countries of the world and in 13 languages. The audience of the channel makes 370 mln people.
This will help the world to know more about Uzbekistan and its ancient cities where once the Great Silk Road passed through.
