Electronic devices to be checked at airports of UzbekistanNew check regulations were introduced on air-safety of radio equipment, audio and video technology, portable computers, tablets and mobile phones in cabin luggage of passengers in aircraft of civil aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was reported by the official site of the Uzbekistan Airways.

According to the regulations, declared by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, passengers and crew members carrying (such) electronic devices in their hand luggage must demonstrate that they are in working conditions at the safety check point by turning them on and presenting them for visual examination service.

If electronic devices are discharged at the time of air security inspection, the passenger (crew member) is to charge these devices in a special equipped location in presence of officers of the examination service until a point for powering on and inspecting its functionality.

If electronic devices after charging are not turned on, these electronic devices are to be investigated additionally using special technical means. When prohibited items are discovered, the examination is stopped, passengers (crew members) who the device belongs to, are refused in the access to aircrafts.

Passengers (crew members) who refuse to defy or refuse to provide their electronic devices will not be allowed to process to the aircraft. At the same time, examination services officers are not allowed to access personal information stored in electronic devices.

New regulations were introduced in order to better air safety in civil aviation of Republic of Uzbekistan.
