On 6-8 October, 2014 the exhibition complex Uzexpocentre hosted the 20th Tashkent International Tourism Fair ‘‘Tourism on the Great Silk Road’’. The anniversary exhibition reflected the developing resort industry in Uzbekistan. Its participants are representatives of touristic companies from 40 countries of the world as well as numerous local companies, hotels and transport services.
TITF-2014 is held in three pavilions and two open-air grounds of the Uzexpocentre: hall of international companies, hall of regions of Uzbekistan, Uzbek handcrafts exhibition, ground for Tashkent restaurants and wine exposition. Apart from that, the exhibition is divided into following tourism directions: business, ecology, sport, culture, active and other.

The motto of the tourism forum in Tashkent is ‘’Silk connections of tourism and art’’. Guests of the fair enjoyed performances of Uzbek artists in national costumes, and the whole event impressed by bright colors. Besides, the significant element of the exhibition was the exposition works of Uzbek painter Lekim Ibragimov ‘Thousand and one angel’ that occupied the entire wall of the pavilion ‘’Traveling through Uzbekistan’’. The painting 66m in length and 8m in height was recognized as one of the symbols of the 20th tourism fair in Tashkent.

Tourism Fair is another step towards development of tourism industry in Uzbekistan. It allowed local and international companies create new connections, find perspective objects for investments and demonstrated guests of the fair the touristic opportunities of the country.
