Why ChemPlast Asia 2008 ?
Today chemical industry of Uzbekistan is one of key industries of Uzbekistan economy. It has significant productive, basic and scientific & technical potential and contributes to national economy development as well as to export potential of the country.
Chemical industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan has long history of development. First chemical enterprises were created in the beginning of 30s last century. In consideration of wide agricultural demand in mineral fertilizers and pesticides the number of large chemical enterprises was established in the territory of Uzbekistan what became stable foundation for creation of strongest chemical complex in Central Asia.
Producing capacities of Chemical Complex's enterprises allow to provide in full internal chemical needs and also export chemical product on continuing basis.
Enterprises of Chemical Complex can be separated on four production complexes by product type:
- Productive Complex of mineral fertilizers and inorganic matters;
- Productive Complex of organic chemistry, artificial fibers and polymer materials;
- Productive Complex of chemical reagents for power, gold-mining and chemical industry;
- Production of chemical plant protectors
Produced chemical product such as nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers, acetic acid, sodium chlorate, sodium cyanide, nitric acid and others cover needs of internal market and partially markets of neighboring Central Asian countries.
SJSC “UzKimyoSanoat” (Ministry of Chemical Industry) ranks a leading position in Central Asian region by product volume and range, and is the largest manufacture of ammonia, carbamide, ammonia nitrate, ammonia sulphate, ammophos, superphosphate and nitrophose in Central Asia.
Having significant competitive advantages in Chemical production expressed by such factors as huge potential of natural resources, powerful production and technical basis and skilled labor, the industry is resented as the largest potential entity for direct and portfolio investments.
Wide range of manufactured product and high quality promote Uzbekistan chemical product manufacturers in world market as one of most needed participants.
Uzbekistan Chemical Industry is active developing branch. In 2006 production increase was 114,8%, export increased for 129,0%. For last years enterprises of Chemical Complex entered such capacious markets as China, Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan and also Baltic and East European countries.
For further development of chemical enterprises the Chemical Complex Development Program 2007-2011 was developed. This Program includes following direction:
- Modernization and engineering re-equipment of existing mineral fertilizer manufacturers.
- Optimization of produced chemical product range in accordance with market requirements.
- Building of modern manufactures with phased exclusion outdated capacities.
- Creation of new science intensive kinds of chemical product for internal and external markets.
- Within the bounds of the Development Program, Investment program was worked out. The Investment program includes a number of investment projects realization of which will lead to new stage of Uzbekistan chemical industry development in future.
