About the exhibition:

"Мachinery Central Аsia - easy solutions for heavy industry". We invites specialists of heavy industries to Machinery Central Asia - one of most important events in Central Asia which is organized to assist manufacturers and suppliers of industrial machines and equipment, components, fittings and parts to meet with industrial specialists from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and other neighbor countries.

The exhibition is held in frames of International Forum "Central Asian Industrial Week".

Machinery and engineering industry in Uzbekistan

• The metallurgical industry includes businesses that mine, beneficiate and process raw materials, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The industry produces more than 10% of the total industrial output. The machine-building industry is highly developed and is the basis for the technical re-equipping of all the sectors of the national economy. A leading role is played by agricultural machinery construction. There are more than 300 machine-building and metalworking companies in Uzbekistan.
• In the import structure, the proportion of equipment and technology is increasing (from 35% in 2000 to 44% in 2010), which reflects the processes of technical modernisation and creation of new high-tech factories taking place in the country. In the first 6 months of 2011, the main imports were machinery and equipment - 41.9% of total imports.
• In 2010, in order to further deepen the structural reforms in industry aimed at accelerating the development of priority sectors in Uzbekistan, and the production of modern and competitive products with high added value, an industrial development programme for 2011-2015 was adopted, which includes 516 investment projects totaling about U.S. $ 50 billion.
• According to the Program on cardinal expansion of localization of manufacture of the machine-building equipment and mounting of equipment, machines and units for small enterprises, mini-technologies on processing agricultural and mineral raw material for 2009-2012 - it is planned to realize more than 530 projects. Tax privileges and preferences will be given to all enterprises involved in realization of program projects. In particular, exemption from: payment of the customs duties for imported the process equipment and spare parts to it, the profit tax, uniform tax payment, the tax to property, etc.
• There are over 100 branches of industry in Uzbekistan connected with machinery construction nowadays.
