Caucasus Group Tour: Az, Ge, Am Reviews
Advantour did an excellent job in providing a tour leader plus amazing guides. We were treated to the local cuisines in a couple of places and got to enjoy some great food.
The standard of hotels selected in all the places were top class, and we were very comfortable - on the bus and in our rooms as well!
Thank you, Yuri!
Will definitely sign up for the longer road trip!
We were more than satisfied with the quality and location of all the hotels. Breakfasts were more than adequate and obviously better in some cities.
Guides - Our Tour Leader Anna was excellent. Her knowledge and enthusiasm and care was a credit to herself and Advantours.
Local Guides - We had Rashad in Azerbaijan - who tried hard with his english and at times Anna translated quite often for him. Anna was our guide in Georgia and again excelled. Zara in Armenia was delightful, very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Totally enjoyed her company.
Dinners provided by Advantour were very good and allowed us to try the local cuisine as was fruit from the company in each hotel room on arrival. The group lunches organised by Anna on long days were very much appreciated and delicious. Her little local snacks and cups of tea also were in good taste.
Transportation and associated drivers were excellent. All very professional and accommodating. The buses were very clean and in a good state, as the roads in some areas were quite challenging.
All in all we had a wonderful time and learnt so much about this special part of the world and would definitely recommend Advantours.
Just to reiterate, I thought the accommodation was excellent, the guides (in particular Anna) were terrific and I had a wonderful time. I would jump at the chance to do another Advantour tour and hope to do so in 2020 to go to the Stans.
Liked the history, small towns, cities, food, natural landscapes, monasteries, hotels, wine tastings and the people. Itineraries were manageable and balanced. The time spent at each location was enough to offer real appreciation of the simply magnificent places we went.
Great tour guides. Very informed. Thanks to Anna, our main tour guide/coordinator. With her impeccable knowledge and enthusiasm, she paid attention to details and provided us great information (and by that, I was more than interested in doing additional search on some history issues of the three countries).
