El Al Israel Airlines

El Al is a national airline of Israel, established in 1948. The airline is considered to be one of the safest air companies in the world. It is the only commercial airline to arm its aircrafts with missile defense systems. Main base of El Al is located in Gun Berion Airport, Tel Aviv. The airline performs domestic and international flights within Israel and to Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and Middle East. El Al does not fly on Saturdays (Sabbath) and on Jewish religious holidays, serving only kosher food on its flights.
