Kyrgyzstan active tour will show you the entire beauty of this mountainous nomadic country. During almost two weeks you will be participating in the walking and horse tours, experience rafting, take a flight on the helicopter to the grand Khan-Tengri Mountain (7010m) and have a relaxing time in the tranquility of the mountain lake located at the height of 3000m.

To make the trip more informative, you will also be introduced to the nomad culture of the Kyrgyz people in between the treks and learn about the customs and traditions of the local people, see the national dances, unique crafts and try the Kyrgyz cuisine.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1 : Bishkek
 
Arrival in Bishkek. Our driver will meet and transfer you to the hotel. After some rest sightseeing tour: Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, Philarmonic hall, Statue of Manas, Victory Square.
After lunch transfer to the Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). You will be in the alpine gorge through which the fast flowing Ala-Archa River runs. The gorge is flanked by tall, snow-covered, peaks with steep-sided, forested, mountain slopes. Hiking in the gorge. Transfer to Bishkek.

Day 2 : Bishkek – Jergalan
 
Transfer to Jergalan. On the way stop in Cholpon-Ata, where you will visit Ruh-Ordo cultural center. Arrival in Jergalan. Overnight at the guest house.

Day 3 : Jergalan – Karkara
 
Today you will take part in national games that include “Arkan Tartmai” (tug of war) and others, after the game you will take part in Boorsok master class. You will see how this traditional Kyrgyz bread is made, try yourself in cooking and of course taste freshly fried boorsok. After you will walk around the guesthouse to see household of a local family with cattle. In addition, you might ride a horse.
Lunch at the guesthouse. Transfer to Karkara. Overnight in the tents.

Day 4 : Enilchek
 
After breakfast, helicopter will take you to Enilchek base camp on the foot of Khan Tengri peak (7010 m). During the flight you will also see Pobeda Peak (7439 m). After arrival you will be accommodated at base camp.
Altitude: 4000 m
Flight by helicopter: 30 min

Day 5 : Enilchek
 
After breakfast you will trek around the Khan Tengri peak with a local guide on 4200 m altitude. Return to the base camp in the afternoon.
Trekking: 3 - 4 hours
Altitude: 4200 m

Day 6 : Enilchek – Karkara – Karakol
 
Fly back to Karkara. Meet with the driver and drive towards Karakol town (100 km, 1.5-2 hours). Upon arrival you will have a short sightseeing tour in Karakol. You will visit museum of M.V. Prjevalsky, one of the world’s greatest explorers. His main achievements were crossing of the great desert Taklamakan and discovering more than 4000 animals, including the Horse of Prjevalsky. After, you will visit the Dungan mosque, built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. Also you will visit a unique Orthodox Church that is made only from wood and Museum of Ella Maillart.
In the evening, your dinner will be followed by folklore music and traditional Kyrgyz dance show. During the interactive evening, dancers will teach you some movements of the traditional dance.
Overnight at the guesthouse or homestay.

Day 7 : Karakol – Tamga
 
In the morning you will leave Karakol on bikes towards Tamga village (100 km). The road goes along the south shore of Issyk-Kul lake, beautifully surrounded by the lake and mountains. It is a great time to take photos and swim in the lake.
Upon arrival to Tamga you will be accommodated at the guest house. Free time.
Biking: 100 km, 4-5 hours

Day 8 : Tamga – Kochkor
 
Today you will drive to Kochkor (190 km, 4-5 hours). You will drive over a mountain pass at 2160m, Orto-Tokoi water reservoir, and ride along the river Chu, the second biggest river in Kyrgyzstan. On the way, you will stop in Bokonbaevo to look at eagle hunting show. Local people will show how our grandfathers hunted and after show, you can make photos with eagles.
On arrival to Kochkor you will visit a felt carpet workshop. Family run accommodation.

Day 9 : Kochkor – Kyzart pass – Kilemche jayloo
 
Today is a start of trek towards Son-Kul Lake.
Today you will go through Chaar Archa valley, pass the Chaar Archa pass, eat a tasty lunch by the racing river, with the views of holy 4400 m Baba Ata Mountain .
Dinner and accommodation in yurts.
Trekking: 5-6 hours.
Altitude: start from 1400 m up to 3000 m

Day 10 : Kilemche – Son-Kul lake
 
After breakfast riding towards Son-Kul lake, Batai Aral yurt camp (4 hours horse ride).
The pass to Son-Kul is rocky and adventurous, but at the same time it is exciting.
You cross high mountains where you will have a wonderful view to Son-Kul Lake. It is situated at a height of 3013 m above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is a great place where you can experience a nomadic life style and relax from busy city life. On arrival, you will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its surroundings. You will have dinner and overnight in Kyrgyz yurts.
Horse riding: 5-6 hours.
Altitude: highest point 3400, accommodation altitude at 3160 m.

Day 11 : Son-Kul – Chon-Kemin
 
After breakfast leave the yurt camp and start your drive towards Bishkek (250 km, 4-4.5 hours). On the way you will go through the scenic Kalmak Asu pass.
In the afternoon you will come to Boom gorge where you will be met by the rafting team. Rafting on the Chu river. Length of rafting - 15 km. Maximum class of difficulty 4. On the road along the river the car will escort the group during the rafting.
After rafting drive to Chon-Kemin village. Free time. Overnight at the guesthouse.
Rafting: 15 km, 1 hour
Level: 3-4

Day 12 : Chon-Kemin – Burana – Bishkek – city tour (170 km, 3.5-4 hours)
 
In the morning you will drive towards Burana Tower in Tokmok town, which is left from ancient city Balasagyn (XI – XIII). The main city on the Silk Way Road. After the excursion around the tower, local people will demonstrate to you the one of the most popular horse game, the “Ulak Tartysh” game. This is an analogue of Polo, but instead of ball, they play with a goat. Transfer to Bishkek. Farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 : Departure
 
Transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
