During this guided city tour you will visit the Nizhniy Novgorod Kremlin. It’s said that this Kremlin was the vastest medieval fortress in Russia. It was one of the great fortifications in 16-th century.
The construction lasted fifteen years, during this time there were curtain walls in 2 km thick and towers of 20 m height raised. Each tower has its own name, function and history.
You will see the St Michel Cathedral, built in XVI century.
In the beginning of the XIX century in the Kremlin’s bailey was created a courtyard for celebration of festivities.
Today the Defense Technology Museum and some souvenir shops are located here. The total area of fortress is 22,7 hectares.
You will see the memorial estate complex of Alexander Pushkin in the village of Bolshoye Boldino (250 km from Nizhniy Novgorod). There is a linden path near the complex, which leads to the park, where the poet loved to walk.
You will walk through the estate, see the museum’s exhibition, visit the Museum of Pushkin’s fairy tales. Then you will transfer to the Luchennik grove, a place where Pushkin loved to rest.
