Quiet upscale residential location with two big supermarkets and a metro station within 5 mins walk.
Charming architecture, modern facilities, comfortable rooms.
SOME staff are useless and sit around without helping elderly people with luggage unless asked.
Other staff are helpful, when I wanted to freshen up before a late night flight, one of the front desk clerks handed me a set of towel and toiletries to use in the pool area shower room.
Breakfast is not bad either.
1st night stayed in a smokey room. Shower did not work, but the next morning moved to a good room.Stayed December 2017, traveled on holiday or leisure

First hotel was Shodlik. Asked to move to smaller hotel. Sharq hotel was in nice neighborhood. Only problem was poor service at front desk from one of the staff.Stayed April 2017, traveled on holiday or leisure
Stayed in hotel for 7 days. It was awful experience. Management and staff was dishonest. At first during booking I was told one price for a room, at check out the price went up and my complains was not considered. The breakfast was miserable, food like at fast food - grease and smelly. The freedge was not working and it took 3 days get repaired. the staff was not properly trained and useless. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.Stayed June 2015, traveled on holiday or leisure
Prices at the restaturant are in dollars, but they only accept Uzbek som. So the total amount is always in favor of the hotel.Stayed April 2015, traveled on holiday or leisure
