Georgian wines received nine awards at competition in Japan

Georgian wineGeorgian wines received nine awards at the International Female Wine contest held in Japan, - reports the Georgia national wine agency. Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards is the biggest wine competition promoting wine not only in Japanese, but also Asian markets. Wines were judged by the jury consisting of female-sommeliers, wine-makers, journalists and wine importers.

Several Georgian wine producers were awarded at the competition. Wines from the company “Kakhuri” such as “Saperavi reserve 2005” and “Saperavi 2008” were awarded the Double-Gold and Gold medals. “Saperavi saodjakho reserve 2013” of the company “Lukasi”, as well as “Marani reserve” and “Marani Kondolis venakhebi 2007” of the company “Telavi wine cellar” also received Gold Medals. Silver medals were given to the wines “Napareuli 2013” and “Mukuzani iberiuli 2013” of the company “Shumi”, “Satrapezo Saperavi 2012” of the company “Telavi wine cellar”, “Saperavi kvevri 2011” of the company “Kindzmarauli Corporation”.

The wine “Saperavi reserve 2005” that received Double Gold Medal will be able to visit the Foodex Japan 2016 International Exhibition that will be held from March 8 to 11, 2016.
