Significance of the Mangystau Oblast for Tourism
* Today, over 7 million people visit Kazakhstan . The interest of international markets towards Kazakhstan is growing
* 35% of all Kazakhstan travel places of interest are located in the Mangystau Oblast, a segment of the Great Silk Road
* The city of Aktau, the centre of the Mangystau Oblast located coastwise at the Caspian Sea, is notable for a clement coastal climate; to attract foreign and local tourists, over 27 tourist routes have been developed
* It is planned to channel about US$ 4 billion to the development of a tourist cluster of economy of the Mangystau Oblast, including the amount of approximately US$ 250,000,000 to be invested into development of the unique Kenderli Resort, the future emplacement of six different travel and entertainment complexes intended for integration of all best experience in the world travel industry, in particular: Disneyland, casino, yacht clubs, golf fields, luxury hotels, recreation parks, beaches and a quad-bike fleet
* According to the information provided by the International Oceanographic Institute, the quality of water in the Kazakh Bay is competitive. Beach tourism, seascape and yacht clubs are being intensively developed throughout the Caspian coast.
* It is also planned to build Aktau City , a new downtown area with modern infrastructure intended for habitation, active rest, business communication and activity, as well as to expand the airport, to open the Caspian Technological University and to construct highways and railways.
