Outturns of the Previous Exhibition, AtyrauBuild 2007
On 28-30 March, the 6th North Caspian Regional Exhibition of Construction and Interiors, Heating and Ventilation, Windows and Doors, Facades AtyrauBuild 2007 was successfully held in Atyrau. This year, AtyrauBuild was held at a new venue – near the Renaissance Atyrau Hotel, in the temporary exhibition pavilion. The total area of the exhibition amounted to 2,800 sq. m
AtyrauBuild 2007 presented 180 direct and indirect exhibitors from Azerbaijan , Germany , Italy , Kazakhstan , Russia , Turkey , and Ukraine . The number of AtyrauBuild 2007 exhibitors is more than by 20% higher than that in the previous year. The domestic exhibitors included companies from Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, Aktyubinsk , and Uralsk . Over the three days of the event, the exhibition was visited by 3,313 specialists.
AtyrauBuild 2007 Summary Figures and Facts
- 45% of exhibitors made contracts right at the Exhibition;
- 91% of exhibitors noted that the visitors' specialisation lived up to their expectations;
- 65% of participants plan to get payoffs from the exhibition in one- to three-month's time after the event;
- 54% of exhibitors stated in their questionnaires that their stands were daily visited by 10 to 15 specialists; 41% – 50 to 100 specialists. It is noteworthy that 5% exhibitors gave explanations on their products and services to more than 100 specialists per day;
- 3,313 professionals visited the exhibition over the three days; and
- 81% of the polled specialists confirmed that they were going to visit the exhibition in 2008.

- Oblast population is 550,000 people;
- Investments into the oblast infrastructure development amount to USD 1.7 billion;

- Reconstruction of roads in West Kazakhstan is under way; plans are in place for reconstruction of the Atyrau-Uralsk road; and construction of the Balykshi-Zhumysker bridge is ongoing, funding whereof amounting to more than USD 2 million;
- Occurrence of housing deficiency entailed the creation of the housing construction funding program utilising mortgage loan lending mechanism. Costs of 1 sq. m of housing in Atyrau amount to USD 400-500;
- Expenditure for investment into installation of gas supply within the oblast amounts to USD 6.9 million;
- For the purposes of drainage system construction, a USD 34 million transfer was received from the national budget;
- Construction of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline started up, which is the initial stage of the West Kazakhstan-West China oil trunk pipeline and is intended to provide oil producing companies in the Atyrau Region an access to the world oil markets via the Atyrau-Samara and CTC export pipeline systems;
- Reconstruction and repairs are ongoing of the oblast major administrative and economic facilities (theatres, museums, roads, countryside recreation zones, etc.; a new building of the Oblast Hospital in Atyrau was commissioned.
