The most well-known monument of Ashtarak is the survived Karmravor church. It was built in the seventh century . The small cross-shaped church was made from large square stone blocks. The facade is decorated with the entrance portico. The round tiled dome on the wide faceted drum is in the center. The interior walls are decorated with the remains of frescoes. The only declaration of the temple is the bright-red tiled dome and the roof of the main building.
