Specialists asserts there are underground pools with over 3(three) billions tons of oil in the territory of the country.
The total volume of revenue from oil industry is expected to be more than 400 billion US dollars during the next years.

According to BSTDB, investments in Azerbaijan will start growing in leaps and bounds in 2009 and will reach $7092.3 in 2010.
Investments to non oil sector up to 27% in comparison with 2007.
Azerbaijan is the first among the CIS Republics in increasing investments to the main fund during the last 5 years
Azerbaijan fully satisfies domestic demand for the majority of food products. Apart from that, the geographical location of the country allows profitable export of the agricultural products not only to the neighbouring markets of Russia, Iran, Turkey and Georgia, but also to the world markets
