Astana to build an eight-lane road

Astana is building a new eight-lane road, - reports “Kazinform” news agency citing Rashid Amanzholov, Head of Astana Passenger Transport and Highways Administration. The new road will be laid through Beysekova street, Kurgaldzhi highway, Seyfullin street Tlendiev and Akzhol.

As of today, a road section from Kurgaldzhi highway to Seyfullin street has been completed and opened for traffic. The bypass road, connecting the city’s left bank with its center, has already begun contributing to the reduction of an extremely dense traffic flow in Sary-Arka and Turan avenues from 80,000 to 30,000 vehicles per day.

The construction of the new eight-lane road will be completed in 2014.
