Academic town, Novosibirsk

In 30 km to south-east from Novosibirsk there locates the Academic town, the holy of holies of Russian science. The project of the town building was approved in the middle of the last century. According to that project, a science center of Novosibirsk had been set up on a separate territory not far from the city. The Academic town gave a new impulse to the city’s development.
