A ceremonial opening of Park of Sculptures at the Kasteyev State Museum, second to none in the city, took place in Almaty, - reports IA Kazinform. The exhibits of the new open-air park were 22 sculptures, modeled by such famous Kazakh artists such as Vagif Rakhmanov, Pavel Shorokhov, Eduard Kazaryan, Shokan Tolesh, Askar Esdauletov and others. The sculptures made of stone, bronze and even rubber are resistant to the changeable Almaty climate. The park is planned to be added with new sculptures.

The museum is unique not only with the exhibits displayed, but also with an environmentally safe solar –powered lighting. Indeed it is true, the development and propaganda of the alternative power energy inseparably connected with Kazakhstan hosting the EXPO-2017 “Future Energy” dedicated to “green” technologies.

A unique art-ground for visits will be open every day and free of charge. The park of sculptures was dedicated to the event, when Alamty was granted the status of the CIS cultural city in2014.
