Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff (1873-1943)
An outstanding composer, pianist and conductor. The works of Rachmaninoff embodied the theme of Motherland. He wrote symphonies, piano concerts, operas «Aleko», «Miserly Knight», many romances, and orchestral fantasies.
