Reconstruction of Zangiata complex to be completed soonZangiata complex is a well-known place for Muslim pilgrimage in the vicinity of Tashkent, annually visited by thousands of tourists and pilgrims from all around the world. Zangiata Mausoleum was built with the order of Amir Temur in the 14th century and later improved and extended by his grandson, Ulugbek.

New mosque for 1,000 people, building of the regional government of Uzbekistan Muslims Board is now being constructed on the territory of the complex. The entrance to the complex will be adorned with the new gates, and there will be a new minaret of 31m high built instead of the old one. Zangiata and Anbar-bibi mausoleums were reconstructed, their five domes were restored.

The adjacent territory to the complex is also being developed, tourist infrastructure is created comprising of a new road, hotel for 50 persons, café, mini-market, souvenir shops, bazaar, parking sites and others. The general area of the construction will make up 2,7 hectares.

Reconstruction works at the territory of the complex are conducted in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 20 October 2013 and are close to completion, reports UzDaily.uz with reference to ‘Jahon’, news agency.
